Wanjiru Njendu wrote and directed "Boxed," one of the most powerful short films screened at the 2019 Horrible Imaginings Film Festival. Boxed is a fictionalized short film based on the true story of Henry "Box" Brown a slave who mailed himself to freedom in 1849. Utilizing isolation and claustrophobia, Njendu makes the audience party to the horror on screen. Listen to our conversation!
